Abersoch is the lively, affluent resort of the Llŷn Peninsula, built around a harbour and two sandy beaches, with a sailing and watersports scene that fills it every summer. It is the busiest and priciest point on an otherwise quiet peninsula.

Porth Neigwl, known as Hell's Mouth, is a four-mile Atlantic-facing beach a few minutes from Abersoch and the main surf spot on the Llŷn. Abersoch's own beach is more sheltered and better suited to sailing and paddleboarding.
