Southerndown is a small village on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast beside Dunraven Bay, a dramatic beach of sand and rock beneath striped limestone cliffs and the terraced remains of a lost clifftop mansion. The scenery is so cinematic it regularly stands in for other coasts on screen, including in Doctor Who.
